FUnny - Jihadists ‘Order All Girls And Women In Iraq To Undergo Circumcision’

Four million women and girls in and around city of Mosul could be affected by this order
It has emerged that militant group ISIS may have ordered compulsory female genital mutilation (FGM),  for all women and girls in a region of Iraq now under its control.

The United Nations (UN), has expressed serious concerns at the reports that says all girls and women in and around city of Mosul are to being forced to undergo FGM procedures.

According to a UN spokesman in Geneva said they were seeking clarity and trying to establish the facts.

The UN resident and humanitarian coordinator in Iraq , Jacqueline Badcoc, Such a 'fatwa' issued by the Sunni Muslim fighters would potentially affect 4million women and girls.

'We have current reports of imposition of a directive that all female girl children and women up to the age of 49 must be circumcised.

'This is something very new for Iraq, particularly in this area, and is of grave concern and does need to be addressed,' Badcock said.

'This is not the will of Iraqi people, or the women of Iraq in these vulnerable areas covered by the terrorists,' she added.

RAMADAN PALAVA - Alhaji Batters Wife, Locks Her Up Over A Piece Of Fish In Lagos 'Jola Sotub

The abused woman had to get 26 stitches on her face after her husband beat her up mercilessly
34-year-old Fatima Bankole might have thought that taking a piece of fish from a pot was an innocent act, but her husband most certainly didn't see it that way.

The incident is said to have occurred when Alhaji Kamoru Bankole's third wife reported the first, Fatima for taking a large chunk of fish from the pot. The victim explained that she had used the fish to break her fast but her explanation fell on deaf ears.

Alhaji Bankole beat his wife and locked her up for 3 days and it was only when she managed to escape that she was taken to a hospital where she had to get 26 stitches on her face.

Fatima is said to have admitted that her husband had been in the habit of abusing her but this last attack was the worst.

The victim's husband was subsequently arrested and he will soon be charged for his crime.

It’s been four years since rapper since Olaitan Olanipekun, famously known as Dagrin passed on from injuries sustained in a ghastly car crash in Mushin, but the nation keeps talking about him. Now, new findings have revealed that the Nigerian police in the area might have been responsible for his death.

More..

Residents in Mushin in a new interview with SaharaReporters, blamed the fatal night-time crash on the Nigerian police in Alakara station.

According to them, Policemen at the Alakara Police Command in the Mushin area of Lagos State are notorious for illegal raiding, bribery, and even escapades of what some call ‘murder at night’.

“I was there that night, and we did not even know at first that it was anyone (famous) like that. We were only helping to remove his body and to rescue him,” a young witness told the website.

“What actually happened that night was that the policemen had stopped the cement truck at the middle of road, and of course, they could only be asking for a bribe.

“Unfortunately, the truck had no rear light, (of any kind,) and so the oncoming car was unaware of any vehicle ahead. It just rammed head on, into it from the back.

“It rammed into the truck hard without holding the brakes at all, and that is because the truck in its front, had no light to show anything was there.

“So after we removed the body, we realized it was Da Grin, and he was groaning. They asked the truck driver to move forward and park out off of the road. They then moved Da Grin’s car afterwards so it would then look like he went to hit the truck where it parked.

“We were not thinking about all these as an attempt to change the story. We were only concerned about helping the victim of an accident, and by when they finished their artificial story, the world was only waiting for Da Grin’s recovery. But news broke later that he had died at the hospital.

“What made their story work was that the car did not hold its breaks, so there was no sign of screeching on the ground. Otherwise, the marks of friction from the tyres would be in the spot where it was removed, before parking it, and rearranging the scene.

“They did everything very fast, and by morning, they were no longer the cause of the accident.) Just like on Tuesday night, that they scared everyone away, and washed the blood stains of their victim within a brief period,” the young man continued.

“Of course, they caused the accident that killed Da Grin. And that is how they commit so much atrocities here in Mushin that the public will not know about, or what the truth is.

“We live here and we see them live, every time.”

The Alakara policemen are described as very apt, and swift, in immediately ‘cleaning up’ their dirty business, leaving behind little, to no evidence, of their atrocities.

MR IBU-"Ibinabo is a small girl, she doesn’t know anything "

Last week, AGN president, Ibinabo Fiberesima fired shots at John Okafor for telling her to step down and not run for 2nd term .She said "Replying Mr. Ibu would be trading intelligence with ignorance "..Mr Ibu has fired back in a new interview with Punch
“I was the chief coach for AGN for four years. If I’m not a member, why would I be appointed? She is just looking for something to hold. The issue is that she is a small girl, she doesn’t know anything and I was trying to correct her but she was seeing it as if I was abusing her.
“I am not abusing her; she is a good person, I must tell you. But she does not know what administration is all about, she should leave it. I’m only respecting her because of the people who are connected to how she became the president of the Guild, otherwise I would have told her straight that she can’t do it.

“How can she be the president of AGN and all the states have two chairmen each and she cannot resolve the conflict and the Board of Trustees is not in order. They are not one and she cannot resolve it?
“She selects people and gives them post. It is not proper and she is killing herself the more. If she cannot rule, let her come down. Everything about this Guild is what you know.”
On her allegation that he goes to Aso rock to beg
“I have never been to Aso Rock before, so I don’t even know how the buildings are. If she wants to go for second term, no problem but I told her instead of going there to make more enemies for herself, let her stop. If she wants to go, it’s not my business. Was I the one that took her to court? She has about three cases lying in the court as I speak to you. I’m not the one that took her to court. I don’t pretend.”

BRACKET- if money didn't seperate us,No woman can.

It's no news that when most music groups break up,it's always due to money or women. According to popular music duo Bracket, nothing can break them up. Vast told the Nation

(Laughs) Money has not separated us; so, women won’t do that to us. We had a little issue about money in the past and we settled it. So, when it comes to women or when Smash sees me with people who will not add value to my life, he warns me. And when I don’t listen, he will let me be. Then, when it all goes wrong, he is still the same person I come back to. I don’t think women or money can be a problem between us at this stage.

Project Fame Unleashes 7th Season of Great Entertainment

As the MTN Project Fame Season 7 begins this July, 2014, families and the youth across Anglophone West Africa will be expecting the usual excitement and suspense that have endeared them to the reality show in the past seven years. The TV musical reality show’s audience will be glued to their TV sets all evening to watch, rate and applaud extraordinary performances from young and promising superstars who will be aiming to win the highest prize at the end of 13 weeks of intense competition. Continue...
The optimism among the show’s audience finds expression in its unequalled rate of productivity. In its class, the show stands head and shoulder above competition having contributed immensely to the increase in the talent base of the sub region’s music industry. This accolade is laudable even as critics of the show have often acknowledged the emergence of Iyanya, Chidinma Ekile and Kesse from Ghana as a perfect example of how to nurture ordinary people into superstars. That is, essentially, remarkable.

From this weekend, the sweet serenade from the Adrenaline band and the judges’ verdicts that follow each contestant’s performance will be the cynosure of millions of fans who will tune in daily – either on terrestrial TV stations or satellite – to watch West Africa unleash its finest musical talent.
What is more, the Faculty comprising Joke Silva, Ben Ogbeiwi, Kaffy and Miss Ige are expected to be as endearing and moderately stern, to headline another great season.

As well, there will be the charm that follows each stretch of sentence – either announcing a performance or appealing to the audience – when Joseph Benjamin and Adora Oleh anchor the reality show again.

Indeed, Project Fame possesses the right degree of creativity that has continued to push the frontiers of family entertainment and redefine the nurturing act as it pertains to musical talent. Occasionally, established artistes visit the academy to mentor the contestants and give them that rare privilege of performing together on the same stage. Last year was memorable in that regard. The social media was awash with commentaries ranging from tweets and facebook mentions when Wale Ojo, the eventual best contestant, performed alongside Tiwa Savage. They formed a perfect blend and their rendition was seamless.

This is it. The presentation, packaging and scripting of each show is ingenuous; little wonder it has maintained its status as the best musical reality show for over seven years. This year, attention will be drawn to who emerges the winner and who will be embracing a new musical genre as we have seen Ayobami and Adetoun  do – both transforming from R n B crooners to Afro-beat and Waka respectively.

Project Fame Season 7 will surpass expectations, especially with backings from MTN, Nigeria’s leading ICT and telecommunications company

Luis Suarez To Lose N830,000 From His Wages If He Bites Again

Luis Suarez will see his £10million-a-year (about N3billion) Barcelona pay packet slashed by up to £3m (N830,000,000) if he tries to bite another opponent.
The Uruguayan became the most expensive signing in the Catalan giants' history when he completed his move from Liverpool on Friday, agreeing a £200,000-a-week (N55m), five-year deal at the Nou Camp.
Liverpool say Barcelona paid the £75m (over N20billion) they wanted for the 27-year-old, but the La Liga side claim the figure was 80m Euros.
His salary makes Suarez the fourth highest-paid player at the club behind Lionel Messi, Neymar and Andres Iniesta, but he will drop a long way behind if there is any repeat of the shameful biting antics that have landed him in hot water three times.
Suarez's contract at Barca is littered with clauses which will hit him hard if he errs again and, according to Sunday People Sport, he could be docked as much as 15 to 30 per cent of his wages.
The club intend to pursue an appeal to have his four-month ban from all football-related activities reduced and are hopeful they will succeed.
Suarez is expected in Barcelona on July 15, 2014, Tuesday, and is set to be unveiled on Wednesday at the city's L'Auditori building before going on holiday.
Sources close to the Catalan giants briefed local media that they were delighted to have landed Suarez for less than the 100m Euro – N22billion – they would have had to pay under normal circumstances.
